Connecting Over Coffee – Vic and Tas Coffee Catch-Ups   

Our VIC Chapter Coffee Catch-ups have been a fantastic opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, connect with colleagues and meet new faces across the Advancement community. 

It’s been great to see so many members come along, with plenty of conversations, shared ideas and new connections made along the way. Thank you to everyone who has joined us and helped make these informal gatherings such a success. 

We still have our Tasmania coffee catch-ups coming up THIS WEEK on Thursday 27 August, so if you’re in Tasmania, we’d love to see you there!

The VIC & TAS Leadership Exchanges 
 
Our VIC Learning Exchange, held in May, brought together more than 80 Advancement professionals from schools and tertiary institutions across Victoria. The day provided an opportunity to learn, connect and reflect on the future of engagement, admissions, alumni and fundraising in education. 

The five stream-specific masterclasses were particularly well received, giving members the opportunity to explore practical challenges within their specialist areas while sharing ideas and experiences with peers. We wrapped up the day with an inspiring In Conversation session with Jon Yeo from TEDxMelbourne. 

We were equally pleased with the response to our Tasmania Learning Exchange in June. Jon joined members live from Hobart, with colleagues in Launceston participating virtually. This hybrid approach allowed us to trial a new delivery model and generated very positive feedback. 

Both events have provided valuable insights that will help us continue to shape relevant and meaningful professional development opportunities for our members.
