Introducing the 2024 Chapter Committee

Introducing the 2024 Chapter Committee

Congratulations and Welcome …

The NZ Chapter Committee is made up of Educate Plus members who work as volunteers in their own time, alongside their day jobs, to benefit all our members. We are passionate about Educate Plus and want to see the Association succeed for everyone’s benefit.

A large thank you must go to Nicole Bassett for being an outstanding Chapter President this last year. Nicole left her role as Chapter President earlier than expected due to taking up an exciting new Advancement role in Australia, and we wish her well on her new life and career journey in Melbourne.

We also had 2 other committee members leave us this year, after several years of service, namely Ross Scrymgeour, and Graeme Mullin. So I’d like to take this moment to also thank them for their service to all our members and for their dedication to our NZ Committee and to Educate Plus. We are grateful for what you have done and we hope you will stay in touch.

We’d like to also congratulate all our current Chapter Committee members who were re-elected. A heartfelt THANK YOU for all their hard work over the past couple of years… maintaining and growing our membership, working with Partners, advocating and growing awareness amongst sector leaders and of course planning events and implementing our amazing NZ Educate Plus Summit held in Christchurch (and in 2022 in Auckland). They are all outstanding EP volunteers and we are looking forward to another great year ahead.

And of course we’d like to extend on behalf of all our existing Committee a very warm welcome to our newest committee member, Aroha Webster from Kristin School in Auckland’s north shore. We look forward to working with you and appreciate your commitment as a newbie volunteer to this Committee.
