Year 12 Community Day

The Year 12 Community Day brought colour, laughter and heartfelt connection to the College as our graduating students celebrated their schooling journey and the community that has supported them along the way. This year’s theme, Dress as Your Younger Self, invited students to recreate childhood outfits based on old photos, filling the Clune Centre with everything from tutus to 2000s fashion throwbacks. The result was a joyful reminder of how far they have come.

The morning began with a warm welcome from staff before students settled in for the ‘Funny Awards’, where students were celebrated with light‑hearted titles such as Future Olympian, Most Likely to Become Famous, and other favourites that highlighted their personalities and shared memories.

A special moment in the day came with the visit from local primary schools, who presented Year 12 with HSC prayer packs, a gesture of encouragement and community support as students prepare for their final exams. This connection between past and present schooling experiences added a meaningful layer to the celebration. Another highlight was the Teacher Trivia, a crowd favourite that tested how well Year 12 really knows the adults who have guided them.

Staff also joined the cohort for a provided morning tea, offered as a thank you from Year 12 for their teachers’ support, guidance and encouragement. The relaxed atmosphere allowed students and teachers to share stories, reflect on the year, and enjoy time together before the busyness of HSC exam preparation begins.

These moments of fun and connection captured the spirit of the Ursuline sisterhood that has shaped their senior years. Community Day concluded with gratitude, laughter and a sense of pride, a fitting celebration of the journey Year 12 has taken and the exciting chapter that awaits them.
