Round 2 – IPSHA Sport Results

Round 2 of the IPSHA Netball, IPSHA Minkey/Hockey, and Year 3 Touch Football competitions took place last Saturday. It has been a strong start for the SCEGGS teams across each of the sports.

The IPSHA Netball teams managed five wins, including SCEGGS Blue having their second convincing win of the season, managing to score over 20 goals in their fixture. One of the standout performers so far has been Zoe Hepple (Year 6) with her pinpoint shooting. Ms Abby Moar has been particularly impressed with the ball movement of each of the teams.

In IPSHA Minkey/Hockey, the teams have won three out of four fixtures from the first two rounds. On Saturday, the SCEGGS 1 team had a narrow 1-3 loss against a strong KRB team and the SCEGGS 2 (Year 4) team proved too strong for Ascham. Alessia Maksimovich had a strong game with her tackling and communication on the field. Well done to both Minkey/Hockey teams for their positive start to the term.

In Year 3 Touch Football, the girls have shown impressive skills in what is a new sport for many of them. Each of the teams has shown good passing and teamwork skills by utilising all players on the field. The teams have also made improvements with their defence by sliding and working together to stop the opposing team scoring tries. Carmen Draper, Aria Zhang and Romy Allen have been strong performers through their speed and ability to find the try line. Well done to all teams for their efforts so far.

Term 3 Co-Curricular Sport – Activity Selection

The activity selection form for Primary Term 3 Co-Curricular and Sport is now open in Clipboard. To support planning for all Term 3 sport programs, we ask that parents and carers complete the online form with their child by Friday 15 May.

Students will not be able to participate unless an activity selection has been submitted in Clipboard.

When enrolling your child in a sport, please ensure they are able to attend all scheduled training sessions and matches. Students should not be registered if they have existing commitments—such as club sport, dance, or other regular activities—that are likely to cause ongoing clashes.

SCEGGS expects parents and carers to request Saturday Sport Leave from Mrs Helen Dempsey in the same way leave is requested for a normal school day. Requests must be submitted at least one week prior to the date of absence.

Once an enrolment form has been submitted, it represents a commitment to all selected activities, and associated costs will be charged to your school account. Withdrawal fees will apply if a student withdraws during or after Week 1. Families should ensure they understand the commitment involved before submitting selections.

If you have any questions, please contact Mr Adrian Hammond or Ms Brittany Robbins. Please click the link to enrol in Term 3 Co Curricular Sport.

Please note: Charges for all activities will be placed on your school account.
