Debating

Our Year 9 team are Champions of the Juniors division for Archdale Debating 2022! Congratulations to the team for their performance on Tuesday night – the three adjudicators were unanimous in their decision to award the debate to us on the negative of “that we should give more votes to people who are active in the community.” The team consisted of: Aasha Maunsell, Bianca Hardge, Emily Rowland, Georgia Tsangaris, Katharine Conaglen, and Lila Eversgerd.

Thank you also to all the SCEGGS debaters not in the final who showed up to support our Year 9s and to help with the hosting of the Grand Final. In particular, thank you to our Debating Captain Kiara Wijesinghe for all her work.
