Yr 12 Drama workshop

It’s an exciting time of year when Year 12 Drama start devising their HSC Group Performances. Last week, the students started the GP process with an incredible workshop with ACU Drama Teacher of Academic Drama, Chris Woods. What a great afternoon of devising.  We can’t wait to see what these incredible students produce for their HSC Examinations in Term 3!

Yr 9 Drama

Year 9 Drama have been loving experimenting with camera angles and shots in our film unit ‘Not Throwing Away My Shot’.  I can’t wait to see the films these students create for our Film Screening Day in Week 7!

Drama Excursion

Absolutely BRILLIANT! Year 9 and 10 Drama students absolutely LOVED Sydney Theatre Company’s My Brilliant Career at the Roslyn Packer Theatre.  What an incredible piece of Australian Musical Theatre and we even got a Q&A with the cast at the end.   I know we’ll be humming along to those songs for weeks.

Thank you @sydneytheatreco for an amazing Schools’ Day.

The Shakespeare Project – Bell Shakespeare
Congratulations to Year 12 Drama student Charlotte Vukivuki-Legge who performed in Arts HQ’s The Shakespeare Project.  This was a collaboration between Sydney Catholic Schools’ Students, Bell Shakespeare, and NIDA to create a modern musical interpretation of some of Shakespeare’s most poignant plays.

Charlotte played Lady Macbeth AND Macbeth (well…  sort of Macbeth) in modern retellings and she was INCREDIBLE!

Congratulations Charlotte!  We are so proud of you.
