Sport Report
Another busy week in MLC School Sport as we move closer to the Term 3 finals, with more information and updates provided below.
This week, we held our Senior School House Athletics Carnival, one of the biggest events on the school sporting calendar. It was a fantastic day, with outstanding attendance and participation from our students. The level of school spirit was exceptional, creating a wonderful atmosphere throughout the carnival.
A huge congratulations to Wade House on taking out the double: House Spirit and Championship winners. Well done to the Sports Captains, Patrons and Head of House on an outstanding result.
I would also like to acknowledge and thank all Heads of House for their tremendous effort, organisation and support throughout the day. Events such as this rely heavily on the commitment of our staff and students, and it was fantastic to see everyone contributing to such a successful carnival.
A huge congratulations to every team that has made it this far. We wish all our athletes the very best for the finals weekend. Play with Courage, Compassion, Respect and Growth, and most importantly, enjoy the opportunity to represent MLC School.

Finals Time at MLC School Sport!
It’s that time of the term again — Finals Time!
Last week, we saw our MLC School Water Polo Invitational teams battle it out in a fantastic competition. It was great to see MLC01 Senior Water Polo take home the Gold, while MLC03 also finished on the podium with a Bronze Medal. A huge thank you to all our teams, coaches and staff for making it such an incredible competition.
This weekend, the finals action continues across the MLC School Sport program!
🏀 Basketball Semifinals
- MLC01 Senior Firsts will be competing in the highest Division S01! Amazing efforts!
- MLC02 Senior 2nds
- MLC03 Senior 3rds

🏐 Netball
- MLC03 Senior 3rds

⚽ Football
- MLC02 will battle it out at Tom Willis Fields.
🏑 Hockey
- MLC01 Senior First Hockey will compete at SOPAC in one of the school’s first-ever Division 1 Hockey Finals — an incredible milestone for the program! A huge game against Ascham under the bright lights of Sydney Olympic Park – it will be a be a battle for the ages to get that spot in the biggest of grand finals!
- MLC04 Junior A will also be taking on Ascham in their semi! They have battled hard over the term to earn their spot – and it is fully deserved! There are so many new faces to hockey in this team, and they have smashed it out of the park to have a shot at the title!
