From the Head of Junior School

This week, Year 2 hosted our Kindergarten to Year 5 assembly. It was a delightful and creative celebration of their learning. Congratulations to everyone involved.

Thank you to the many parents for their positive feedback about the Michelle Mitchell Parent Forum this week and also to our P&F for offering us the opportunity to learn from this leading Australian expert in tween and teen development.  

Celebrations of Learning 

This week, Pre-Kindergarten hosted its Celebration of Learning. My thanks to all the parents and carers who generously made time to visit their daughters’ studio. It was a delight to see the joy these celebrations brought to the Pre-Kindergarten girls – and to the big people too! Click here to read the full story.

Father’s Day Celebrations 

Father’s Day Breakfast 

It has been a wonderful week of celebrations for our dads, granddads, uncles and other significant male role models. It was a delight to welcome so many families to MLC School’s Father’s Day Breakfast.

Father’s Day Stall 

Thank you to all our volunteers who supported the Father’s Day raffle and stall, and to the families who purchased Father’s Day gifts and raffle tickets.

Paper Plane House Challenge 

Following breakfast, families took part in the Junior School Paper Plane House Challenge. Students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6 had great fun creating their own planes with their families and competing for their School House. Congratulations to the winning team, Prescott, who were awarded the Paper Plane Trophy.

Fathers Day Raffle Winners
