From Hiding to Healing – new Dare to Be More Podcast Now Live

In this episode of Dare to Be More, we are joined by MLC School alumna and 2026 Alumnae Award winner Janu Dhayanathan (2000).

Janu shares her deeply personal story of living with neurofibromatosis, a genetic condition she kept secret for thirty years. She discusses the isolation of hiding her true self and the incredible liberation she found when she finally shared her story to raise funds for the Children’s Tumour Foundation.

Janu also reflects on her time at MLC School, explaining how the support of teachers and counsellors helped her overcome bullying and a crisis of confidence in Year 12.
