New Members of the Committee

We warmly welcome three new  members  to the Educate Plus New Zealand Committee, Patricia McGarr, Leonie Partridge and Lynn Smith

Patricia McGarr

Patricia joins the NZ Educate Plus Committee with over twenty five years  experience in business development and fundraising in the Higher Education sector. Her most recent role was Director of Fundraising, Asia Pacific for an international not for profit organisation. Recently Patricia has taken the position of Senior Development Manager at Victoria University.

Leonie Partridge

Leonie has been with the Alumni and Development team, now called Alumni and UC Foundation at the University of Canterbury since March 2014, starting out as the team administrator. In 2015 she moved into the newly established role of Stewardship Coordinator with the primary focus on donor relations. In her current role she is constantly liaising with donors and those that benefit from their philanthropic support to highlight the impact of their gifts. Before joining the University of Canterbury, Leonie has worked for a number of organisations including the office of the Governor General and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Lynn Smith

Lynn joined St Andrew’s College in 2013 after a number of years working in a large state funded primary school. In 2014 she moved into the Registrar’s role as the Year 9 enrolment process was underway. Lynn said she was very fortunate to attend the Educate Plus, Best Practice Admissions Training Programme a few months later. As a new practitioner Lynn found this programme, along with the collegial support from fellow Educate Plus Members, invaluable as she navigated her way through new waters.
