Valuing your Educate Plus connections

Valuing your Educate Plus connections

Being part of Educate Plus has always been rewarding for the resources, training, conferences and support—but the true value is the networks that you develop.

As many of us are currently spending hours juggling the latest NSW Health Guidelines as they apply to schools and university events, it’s been invaluable to reach out to others for suggestions and advice. Knowing what a similar school or university is doing, and sharing your insights and reflections with each other, can make it a little bit easier to navigate this ever-changing scenario.

Educate Plus is run largely by volunteers who are passionate about supporting each other. If you are a newer member and haven’t yet had a chance to meet other members in person, a great way to receive peer support is to use the Member’s Forum on the website.

The Member’s Directory is also very helpful, but perhaps the best service at this time is the Mentoring Program. This innovative mentoring platform enables you to connect with someone directly and it can all be done online. It is set up in such a way as to ensure you are matched with someone who fits your needs and matches your values. Whether you are new to Advancement, or have been working in the area for years, there are Mentors available to support: all looked after by the wonderful Tina Fleming.
