Have you re-ignited a passion or hobby during COVID?

I managed to come back to play the piano after not playing for about 20 years or so. I am now able to play duets with my daughter when we have some downtime. I am currently practicing Moonlight Sonate from Beethoven.

We also got a gorgeous little Covid-puppy. Paolo is a Laggotto, a fluffy chocolate brown ball of fun that myself, husband and two teenage kids have all fallen in love with.

What are you looking forward to most post COVID?

As many of us – international travel. I can’t wait to be able to visit my family in Prague.

Favourite food and why?

Roasted duck with red cabbage and potato dumplings. This dish was always prepared by my grandma for special occasions such as birthdays and Christmas gatherings. Luckily, my husband learnt this dish when we lived in Prague back in early 2000.

Who would you like to have lunch with and where/why?

Shemara Wikramanayake, CEO of Macquarie Group anywhere in Walsh Bay, Darling Harbour. I would be interested to hear about her life journey and her practices to run and grow a very successful operation and balance with her family life.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.

I am not sure about a surprise but I am very passionate skier. I dream about spending a season in the Alps.

Motto or personal mantra?

A glass is always halfway full – to have a positive attitude has helped me to overcome situations that were not always easy and to achieve positive outcomes from what life throws at us at times.

What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?

Yoga practice – it keeps me fit but also helps me to rejuvenate.
