International Conference Wrap

The Educate Plus International Conference in Auckland provided a unique opportunity for professional development for anyone who works in advancement. The conference clearly showcased global best practice in fundraising, development, marketing, enrolments and community and alumni relations, among primary, secondary and tertiary education providers.

As advancement professionals we require specialist training, and coming to the International Conference allowed delegates to access presentations that were truly world-class. The breadth, depth and quality of the speakers is a much-anticipated key strength of this biennial conference and this year did not disappoint, opening our eyes to cutting edge practice in our particular areas of expertise. Over 80 presenters shared their experiences, which allowed delegates to gain new skills and perspectives. This can translate into how delegates subsequently approach their jobs, and also helps to build credibility as those who attended continue to gain new skill sets.

And, as always, the ability to network and communicate with a wide variety of other advancement professionals is second to none.
