The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus & The Most Immaculate Heart of Mary

On the 12th & 13th of June, we celebrate the feasts of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Most Immaculate Heart of Mary. These two feasts remind us of the deep love, compassion and faithfulness shown by Jesus and Mary to the world.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus symbolises Christ’s endless love for humanity – a love that is merciful, forgiving and always welcoming. The Immaculate Heart of Mary reflects a heart filled with trust, humility and devotion to God. Together, they remind us of the importance of loving others with kindness, compassion and understanding.

As we reflect on these feasts, we are called to open our own hearts to God and to those around us. May we follow the example of Jesus and Mary by showing care for those in need, offering forgiveness and bringing peace to our community each day.

Prayer

Loving God,
We thank You for the example of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Teach us to love with compassion,
to forgive with generosity
and to live with faith and courage.

May our hearts be open to Your presence
and to the needs of others each day.

Help us to bring kindness, peace and hope
to our families, school and community.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Venerable Nano Nagle. Pray for us.
