Critical Thinking in Action: Domremy Shines at the Senior Ethics Olympiad!

On 5 May,  Domremy College competed at the annual Senior Ethics Olympiad. This prestigious event brought together 25 teams from 17 highly competitive schools across the region – including The King’s School, Loreto Normanhurst, and Santa Sabina College.

Unlike a traditional debate where teams argue opposing sides, the Ethics Olympiad challenges students to engage in a collaborative dialogue about complex, real-world moral dilemmas. Teams are judged on their ability to show critical thinking, nuance, respectful discourse, and deep ethical understanding. Our girls wrapped their minds around some truly gripping modern cases – ranging from the ethics of AI and environmental responsibility to deeply personal moral choices.

🏆 Celebrating Our Results: An Honourable Mention!

Domremy entered two teams into the competition this year, and we could not be prouder of how they represented our College against such a large and talented field. While the competition was incredibly fierce, our students truly held their own. We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Domremy College was awarded a prestigious Honourable Mention by the judges! This special commendation recognises the exceptional quality of our students’ discussions, their deep ethical engagement, and their ability to navigate complex philosophical waters with clarity and insight.
