YEAR 12 CERTIFICATE III BUSINESS
Year 12 Certificate III in Business students, currently studying customer service and completing their final assessment, recently had the opportunity to visit the local café Grandma’s as part of an industry visit. During the excursion, students gained valuable insights from experienced staff about the day-to-day operations and challenges of running a successful business.
The visit enabled students to apply the knowledge and skills developed in the classroom to a real-world business environment. Prior to the excursion, students researched the café’s online presence, including its website, social media platforms, customer reviews and marketing strategies.
During the visit, students interacted with venue staff and observed key aspects of business operations. They evaluated customer service practices, workplace presentation, cleanliness, product quality and the overall customer experience. This authentic learning experience provided students with a deeper understanding of how business concepts are applied in practice and highlighted the importance of delivering high-quality customer service in the hospitality industry.
