Firsts
The Firsts Water Polo faced off against a strong Trinity side this week, which was certain to provide an interesting and fast-paced game. The first quarter started off slow, with an early goal to Trinity sweeping us off our feet for the first few minutes. Luckily, Jett Semmens used these difficulties to score Shore’s first goal. The following quarter went in Shore’s favour, with Charlie Kovacs scoring two, making the score 6-3 at the half. The following quarters provided a tough fight, but Harrison Brunker’s determination in centre forward, scoring 4 goals in the second half, matched with Alex Woolfe’s perseverance in goals, allowed the team to win 15-7.

The Thirds Water Polo began 2025 in style with a dominant display over Trinity. From the opening whistle, Shore was able to control the tempo of the match, and a crisp passing game enabled the scoreboard to tick over. The first half was dominated by goals to Jonnie Pridmore and Tim Leahy, whilst the second half demonstrated the team’s ability with 7 goals in quick succession to Rory Keeler, Joel Hamilford, Daniel Lord and Tom Wensley. With some strong saves at the back from Oli Graham, the final score of 11-0 has set the team up for a big encounter against Knox in Week 2.
