Olivia’s Artwork
Year 12 student Olivia R has spent the past several years (2022–2025) courageously undergoing treatment in the Oncology Department at The Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, where she received Beads of Courage – each one symbolising a moment of strength and perseverance. The program honours the strength and resilience of young people facing serious illness. This year, Olivia and Mrs Markas collaborated on a special art project that transformed these beads into a meaningful mural. Together, they spent many hours thoughtfully arranging and threading each bead, creating an artwork that celebrates her courage. The finished artwork stands as a heartfelt tribute to Olivia’s journey and a beautiful reminder of the compassion, creativity, and connection that enrich our school community.
