Visual Arts – Year 11 Watercolour Workshop at the Year 11 Retreat
As part of the Year 11 retreat in Week 3, students were invited to participate in an en plein air watercolour painting session during the three days. En plein air is a technique pioneered by the French Impressionists whereby artists paint outdoors directly at the scene. We were presented with an incredible vista across the Southern Highlands with a remarkable fleeting light to capture and explore. This week’s banner is one of Matisse Asher’s work from the retreat and below are some examples of students’ work.
