SCEGGS Inaugural Landscape Painting Prize
The SCEGGS Inaugural Landscape Prize was launched this week. This is a new painting prize with entries open to all students in Years 5 to 12.
Students can work in any painting medium and in any style with a theme of any form of landscape (snow, coastal, pastoral, abstract, expressive, realist… everyone is encouraged to broadly interpret the subject in their own way!)
ALL STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ENTER A WORK (or 2)! Do not be hesitant if you have not done much painting in the past, just be adventurous and give it a go!
Boards are provided and available for pick up anytime from the Visual Arts Department staffroom.
Paintings will be due end of Week 2 of Term 3 (Friday 31st July), so there is plenty of time to think, plan and work on your entry.
If you have any questions, please come and ask one of the Visual Art teachers at any time.

This week’s banner is a landscape work by Year 11 student Bella Campbell completed last term as part of her Body of Work on the Landscape.
