Public Speaking

The local round of the Legacy Junior Speaking Award was held on Zoom Thursday 11 August with 2 girls representing SCEGGS, Celia Watson (Year 9) and Astrid Hooper (Year 10). Both girls delivered engaging speeches Celia on What is my Legacy referencing the musical Hamilton with Astrid reflecting on Disney’s Heroes as Villains.

The girls were challenged by the impromptu topic The ripple affect with Celia gaining a place in the Regional Final next Tuesday. Good luck Celia.
