Saturday Sport

The first round of IPSHA was played on Saturday and there were many excellent performances. Year 6 Basketball teams made a positive start to their season, with the 6A team scoring a close 18-16 victory over PLC, the 6B team winning 20-10 against Meriden, and the 6C team going down 30-36 despite their accurate shooting. All Year 6 teams worked on their defence at training this week. The 5A team won 17-14 with a strong performance by Klemintine Chylek and the 5B and 5C teams endured warm conditions and minimal reserves in their fixtures but showed resilience and determination. The Year 4 teams showed good enthusiasm and skills and are starting to improve their teamwork skills and tactics. In IPSHA Tennis teams came away with three wins and a loss from their matches. Well done to the SCEGGS 1 team, who showed impressive ground strokes and rallying skills in their match to overcome MLC. Good luck to all teams competing this weekend!
