Primary Sport

Welcome back to Term 3!

We hope you had a fantastic break and are ready to dive into an action-packed term filled with sports and activities. If your daughter is looking to join as a late enrolment for a sport, please send an email to Adrian Hammond to see if there are places available.

IPSHA Sport

On Saturdays, our girls will hit the field for the IPSHA AFL and IPSHA Touch Football competitions. These competitions allow our students to show their skills in their chosen sports, forge lasting memories and friendships, and compete against other local schools. Please also see the IPSHA Code of Conduct here, which has been sent to all IPSHA schools, reminding parents, coaches and players of expectations while competing.

For our Year 3 students, we move onto Term 3 Sport at Ascham this term for Minkey Hockey. A reminder that matches begin Saturday 3 August (Week 2), however there is a training session this Saturday 27 July, 8.00 am to 9.30am at SCEGGS in the Old Gym (entry via Forbes St Sports Hall Doors).

Student Achievements

On Wednesday 31 July SCEGGS is sending a group of girls across Years 5 and 6 to the Paul Kelly Cup Regional Final at Timbrell Park, Five Dock. The team qualified after winning the local event in Term 2. We wish the team all the best and look forward to hearing how you go.

Help us celebrate any other achievements outside of school!

Does your daughter compete in any sport outside of school (for example, at a representative level or a sport we do not currently offer)? If so, I would love to celebrate their achievements by recognising them in this newsletter! Please email any information (and photos, if possible) to Adrian Hammond.
