From The Chaplain
Welcome back to Term 4, which is going to be over before you know it! There is lots to pack into the rest of the year and I wish you all the sustenance and perseverance to make it to the end.
Mr Lee-Lindsay Needs Toiletries!!
I have been asked by a number of welfare agencies if we are able to provide toiletry items for those in need. These items often get left off the list of essentials as many families and individuals prioritise food when budgeting. The type of items that are needed include:
- Pump bottles of soap
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Toothpaste
- Tooth Brushes
- Razors
- Deodorant
- Small packets of Toilet Paper and Tissues.
There will be a basket outside of the chapel where these items can be placed. I will deliver these items towards the end of week 5 (Friday 15 November). Your generosity is always appreciated.
The SCEGGS Podcast “Walk The Mile” Episode 58: Same but Different with Amelie and Lauren Ransom.
This time of the year is when our Year 12 students are finishing up their school life and looking towards a new and different future. Two of those students, Amelie and Lauren Ransom, have gone through their whole schooling life together. In fact, they have been together their whole lives as they are twins, identical ones at that! In this conversation, we find out what its like to be a twin from their perspective and I get to ask some of those questions that you might have always wanted to ask. I hope you enjoy our discussion.
And a reminder that we are published on Spotify, Apple and other popular podcast platforms so you can access it easier from your preferred device. I always welcome your feedback or any ideas you may have for further episodes. You will find each podcast as they are produced in this newsletter and on the other platforms as well as our website.
