Hockey
Congratulations to Jess Weatherall (Year 12) who represented NSWCIS at the NSW All School Hockey Championships that were recently held in Newcastle. At the completion of the tournament, Jess was named in the NSW All Schools Open Merit Team. We are so proud of you Jess, this was a very fitting end to your school girl representative journey.
SCEGGS Hockey was out in force over King’s Birthday Long Weekend in Canberra. We had several of our community members playing, coaching and umpiring at the June Long Weekend Carnival that attracts many of the best players from NSW and the ACT.
Representing South-Eastern Hockey Association (SEHA) were:
U16 Firsts Maddison Soulos
U16 Seconds Romy Schmidt
U14 Seconds Giselle Wharton, Annabel Armstrong played and umpired throughout the tournament
SCEGGS Head Coach Anna Smith was the coach of U14 Firsts
Good luck to Maddison Soulos and Romy Schmidt who now head to Newcastle for the NSW U16 Hockey Championships from 19-21 June.
Equestrian
Well done to Ella McHugh, Abby Simmons and Scarlett Webber from Year 11 who represented SCEGGS at the North-West Interschools Expo that was held at Coonabarabran last week.
