Our Community Easter Events

Everyone in the SCEGGS community is invited to this year’s Easter Festival. This evening service is always a wonderful event which focuses on the meaning and significance of Easter, with readings, prayer and music, provided by a variety of the SCEGGS musical ensembles.

The details are:

  • Date: Wednesday 1 April
  • Time: 7pm
  • Venue: Great Hall
  • Parking: Limited parking will be available in the Joan Freeman Carpark (entry from St Peters Street). This carpark will close immediately following the service.

We look forward to welcoming many parents and community members to our Easter Festival at this very special time of the year.

On Thursday 2 April, staff and students from K-12 will be involved in our Easter Service.

At both services, a cash only collection will be taken to support Arunachala Village School in India.

A loving and supportive learning community where orphaned and other disadvantaged children grow with creativity, empathy, and respect. Founded in 1999, the school empowers rural children through innovative education, fostering knowledge, gratitude, and responsibility for a sustainable future. All students have been asked to bring a monetary donation over the last few weeks to go towards their primary or form class’s Lenten offertory in support of this cause.

Toiletry Drive

Thanks to all of the people that have donated to our toiletry drive so far. I have delivered two loads of toiletries this term and will do the final load after Easter. I will be collecting items until the last day of Term 1 so feel free to drop them to me at the gate in the morning, into my office or the general office.

Community Service (for adults!!)

Several parents have asked me about volunteering for different organisations or what they might be able to do to “give back”. I am always happy to make suggestions and discuss the opportunities that I am aware of. Because of the growing demand for welfare in our city there is a greater need for people to help out. If you are ever interested in volunteering or wondering how you might be able to be involved, I would be more than happy to have a chat. You can email me or call me here at school.

The dates for our Monday Food Deliveries Term 2 are now live and ready to go in the SignUp App. If you would like to continue providing, have been thinking about getting involved or have had no idea what this is, please have a look and let me know if you have any questions. More contributors are always welcome!!
