Cross Country
Congratulations to the eight students who represented SCEGGS at the NSWCIS Cross Country Championships: Lily Cooney (Year 11), Ruby Fry (Year 12), Melina Gouveros (Year 8), Annabelle Jessup (Year 9), Nancy Newton (Year 11), Anna Slack (Year 8), Annaliese Stackpool (Year 11) & Chloe Yule (Year 11).
Well done on the 17 Years team who won the Team Gold Medal: Nancy Newton, Lily Cooney, Chloe Yule and Annaliese Stackpool.

The following students have qualified to go onto the NSW All Schools Championships to be held in July: Lily Cooney, Ruby Fry, Annelle Jessup and Nancy Newton.
Hockey
Congratulations to Maddison Soulos (Year 8) who has had a busy few weeks representing SEHA (Sydney East Hockey Association) at the U14 State Championships in Grafton and the Canberra long weekend carnival. Competing with determination and composure, she consistently stepped up in high-pressure moments, showing strong game sense and work ethic.
Swimming
Well done to Georgia Cate Baker Wood (Year 11) who swam a PB in the 50m Breaststroke at the Australian Swimming Trials last week. Georgia represented Cranbrook Swimming Club and won her heat.
Football
Well done to the Senior 1st Football team who had a win against Tara 1 on the weekend. Despite missing several key players, the SCEGGS team were on top for most of the match and scored the winning goal midway through the second half to win 2-1.
Netball
Congratulations to Alicia Singh (Year 12) who represented NSWCIS at the NSW All Schools U19 Championships. The CIS team placed second. Alicia is photographed here with Australian Diamonds legend Kim Green who was the coach of the team.
Well done to SCEGGS Netball Team 10 who had a convincing win over the Tara 3 team 15-9. SCEGGS 11 had a closer match against Tara 4 to win 9-5.
July Holiday Basketball Camp

Years 7-12 Invitational Athletics Carnival
We are excited to announce an opportunity for all Secondary students to participate in an Invitational Athletics Carnival on Wednesday 25 June – Week 9, from recess onwards.
This is an optional event for all students in Years 7-12. The Invitational Carnival is for serious competitors who want to give their best effort in a minimum of three events.
Students who wish to join the SCEGGS Athletics Squad in preparation for the IGSA Athletics Carnival in Term 3 are strongly encouraged to attend and compete! Normal lessons will continue at school during lesson 3 and 4 for all teaching staff and students who remain at school.
Events -100m, 200m, 400m, Discus, Shotput, Javelin, High Jump, Long Jump
Students must register to attend via Clipboard (parents / carers must complete the form).
Registrations will close on Thursday 19 June – Week 8.
800m races will be held in Term 3 on Monday 28 July at Athletics Training after school.

Transport
Students will arrive at school as usual from 8:15am and attend Form, Periods 1 and 2.
Buses will transport students to ES Marks during recess.
Events will commence by 12:00pm and finish approximately 3pm-3.30pm.
At the end of the carnival, students may take the bus back to school or depart from the venue, either with a parent / carer, carpool, or make their own way home.
Student transport at the end of the carnival should be indicated when registering to attend via Clipboard.
Uniform
Students should come to school in SCEGGS PE uniform (trackpants or PE shorts over the top of bike shorts, PE shirts over the top of the long sleeve sport top). Students are encouraged to bring warm clothing and prepare for wet weather.
Spectators
Parents / carers and spectators are welcome to attend and watch from the grandstand. Spectators are not permitted to access the track or field at any point during the event.

SCEGGS Training sessions before and after school plus Saturday Sport
Any cancellations or adjustments will be made in Clipboard and families will receive a notification or email when changes are made. Please ensure you have notifications enabled.
All Clipboard notifications will now come through the SCEGGS Mobile App too, so if you have been receiving notifications from Clipboard (eg when sport is cancelled due to wet weather), you will need to download the SCEGGS Mobile App to ensure that you continue to receive these push notifications.
