Water Polo

Two of our talented students, Lucinda Middleton (Year 10) and Kiera Mironova (Year 10) competed in the USA Water Polo Junior Olympic Championships in July 2023 in California.

The USA Water Polo Junior Olympic Championships is the largest age group water polo tournament in the nation. Athletes and teams come from across the world to compete on the national stage. The Junior Olympics Tournament consists of three divisions, which compete over a four-day period within their respective age category.

We are very proud of Lucinda and Kiera’s achievements and excited to see their new learnt skills in the pool.

MLC Competition and Northern Suburbs Competition

  • On Friday 4 August, our Pymble Opens team defeated Wenona 8 to 5 in the MLC invitational Competition. The game was very physical with lots of exclusion and penalties and was an exciting game to watch.
  • Pymble Year 7 had with a double game on Friday 4 August, with one strong win against Brigidine – White 8 to 5 and a draw with Stella Maris College – Red 5 to 5. The team displayed strength, resilience and determination.
  • Pymble Intermediate teams came away with one win and one loss on Monday 7 August in the Northern Suburbs Competition at Warringah Aquatic Centre.  Pymble Blue won against Stella Maris College – Red 11 to 2 and Pymble Red, with a loss to Brigidine – Maroon 14 to 4. Great efforts to our Water Polo players, only a few weeks till finals.
