Week 7

What an incredible conclusion to the 2025 Santa Sabina Invitational Volleyball competition! This past Saturday saw our Pymble teams take to the court one last time this season, fiercely contesting grand finals and bronze medal matches. The energy, passion, and sportsmanship displayed by all teams was truly inspiring, capping off a season filled with outstanding growth and memorable moments.

Pymble 2: The Senior Seconds took on St. Andrew’s 1 in their grand final. Despite facing a strong and well-drilled opponent, our girls never backed down, fighting for every point right to the end. Though ultimately falling short (0 to 3), the team’s journey this season has been one of perseverance and marked improvement, finishing runners-up in a highly competitive division.

Pymble 5: Our Year 8 Division 1 team capped off their fantastic season with a hard-fought 2 to 1 victory over Monte 9 to claim the grand final title! In a tense and exhilarating match, the girls showed immense composure and teamwork, especially during crucial points in the deciding set. Their growth and determination throughout the season have been a pleasure to watch, and they are truly deserving champions.

Pymble 7: The Year 7s brought home the championship trophy in style, defeating Brigidine 7 with a commanding 3 to 0 victory in their grand final. The girls played some of their best volleyball of the season, demonstrating excellent skill, communication, and enthusiasm. Winning the title is a wonderful reflection of their positive attitude both on and off the court.

Pymble 1: Playing for bronze against Rosebank College 1, the team produced a gutsy 2 to 1 win. After a challenging season and a tough semi-final, the girls rallied magnificently, displaying resilience and unity when it mattered most. Securing third place is a fitting reward for all their hard work and commitment.

Pymble 3: Our Year 10 team also battled for bronze against Abbotsleigh 4. They edged a thrilling 2 to 1 win, showing real grit in a tight final set. The team’s growth across the season was evident in their calm handling of pressure and team-first mindset.

Pymble 4: Closing out a very strong year, Pymble 4 ended their season with a superb 3 to 0 victory over Abbotsleigh 7. Although not playing for a medal, the girls gave one last reminder of their development, finishing their campaign on a high and setting a great example for future squads.

Pymble 6: Competing for bronze, Pymble 6 pushed Barker College 5 all the way in a closely fought encounter but narrowly lost 1 to 2. The team’s positivity and determination have been strengths all season, and they can be extremely proud of their efforts right through to the end.

Season Wrap Up and Special Thanks

As the season concludes, it’s important to acknowledge and thank everyone who contributed to another outstanding campaign for Pymble Volleyball.

First and foremost, sincere gratitude goes to our phenomenal coaches, whose passion and expertise inspire our players to achieve their best every week. Thank you to the parents and supporters who fill the stands, provide lifts, and cheer on every team rain or shine—your support is deeply appreciated and makes all the difference.

Most importantly, thank you to all the girls for their commitment, teamwork, and sportsmanship. You have represented Pymble with pride on and off the court, and we are incredibly proud of how you have supported each other throughout the year.

A special mention must go to our outgoing Year 12 students. Your leadership, positivity, and dedication have left a lasting impression on teammates and coaches alike. You have helped shape the culture of our Volleyball program for the better, serving as wonderful role models for younger players. Thank you for everything you have given to Pymble Volleyball; we wish you all the very best for your future endeavours and hope you will always remember your time with the team fondly.

Congratulations once more to all our players on a memorable season! We look forward to welcoming everyone back for another exciting year in 2026.
