NSW State Interschools Snowsports

Congratulations to our 37 athletes who competed at the 2023 NSW Interschools Championships in Perisher over the past week. With 121 entries, this was our largest team to take on the State Interschools Championships in many years. The week started with our Junior School students leading the charge and making Pymble a force to be reckoned with!

18 students from Year 2 to Year 12 took part in our first ever Cross Country on snow training in Perisher. It was so great to see the comradery between the athletes from all year groups. There are not many sports which have this opportunity to unite the whole team from both the Junior and Secondary School. For many of our girls, this was their first-time taking part in Cross Country Skiing (or even putting on skis). This is a massive testament to the “can do” attitude from the girls creating this moment even more special.

I would just like to say a massive thank you to all the parents/carers and families who have spent many hours driving down the freeway, booking accommodation, hiring equipment, and managing work commitments to give this Pymble team every opportunity to achieve their absolute potential! This program does not run without the families behind the team, and I am truly grateful for your support, volunteering on snow and offering to assist in any way possible.

As a Pymble team we have achieved some outstanding results!
