Pittwater Secondary Schools teams racing Regatta

On Saturday 2 March, our Pymble sailing team participated in the Pittwater Regatta hosted by Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club (RPAYC). This event provided much needed race experience for our sailors for the upcoming NSW Teams Racing Championship, less than two weeks away.

Congratulations to the following students who took part: Abigail McKinnon (Year 10), Charlotte Wykes (Year 12 and sailing captain), Daisy Stoodley-Williamson (Year 10), India Wells Lister (Year 10), Layne Phillips (Year 10), and Simone Bennett (Year 10).

“Congratulations to our Pymble sailing team who competed in the Pittwater Schools regatta on the weekend, hosted by RPAYC. As the sole all-female team in the regatta, Pymble sailed well to achieve fourth place overall after competing against strong teams from Cranbrook, Knox, and Redlands. Heavy wind and sea conditions made for a hard day’s sailing while providing great experience in the leadup to the upcoming State championships.”
