2023 NSW Pathways Eights – Interstate Schools Regatta
During the holidays, seven members of the Rowing team trial took part in the NSW pathways crews to represent NSW in the Interstate Schools Regatta from Thursday 27 to Friday 28 April 2023.
Mia Booth (Year 11), Jessica Colbran (Year 12), Megan Wood (Year 11) and Tilly Morgan (Year 12) were all selected into the NSW Firsts Crew, coached by our Head Coach, Ali Williams.
Charlotte Hartin (Year 12), Alessandra Braysich (Year 11) and Serena Leung (Year 12) were all selected into the NSW Seconds Crew, coached by Pymble coach, Ben Booker.
The crews trained through the holidays in preparation racing the Heat on Thursday 27 April where the Firsts crew had a strong win qualifying for the A final, and the seconds crew having a tough battle to just miss out on the A final and progress through to the B final.
The finals were raced on Friday 28 April, where the Seconds crew had an awesome race winning the B final by open water, following the B final the Firsts crew had a cracking race battling with Victoria the whole way down the course just missing first and finishing second overall.
Well done to our Pymble girls for representing NSW.
Australian U19 Team Selection
Congratulations to Pymble student Liesel Page (Year 12) who has been selected into the Australian U19 Women’s Double Scull to compete at the U19 World Rowing Championships in Paris, France. Liesel has worked incredibly hard to get to this point. We wish her the very best and look forward to providing more updates on her success over the campaign and beyond.
