NSW Schoolgirl Head of the River

On Sunday 3 March the Pymble Rowing team competed in NSW Schoolgirl Head of the River, the ultimate regatta of the season. The team produced eight podium finishes, consisting of one Gold, five Silver and two Bronze medal results. 

Congratulations to our Junior 3rd Quad rowers:  

Angelina Attinger (Year 9), Mia Sherry (Year 9), Genevieve Bazina (Year 9), Lucy Simpson (Year 9) and Georgina Curtis (Year 9) who won the Year 9 Coxed Quad Division 3. 

The Senior 1st and 2nd Eight took home Silver in their respective divisions.   

Well done to Holly Craig (Year 12), Erin Porter (Year 11), Alessandra Braysich (Year 12), Megan Wood (Year 12), Scarlet Olesen (Year 10), Millie Cullinane (Year 10), Mika Naito (Year 11), Mia Booth (Year 12), Carolina Yemma (Year 12), Mathilde Goddard (Year 11), Annabel Shanahan (Year 11), Skye Pockley (Year 12), Isabella Stalley (Year 11), Catherine Walker (Year 12), Celeste McDermott (Year 11), Lauren Gibson (Year 11), Isabel Matosantos (Year 12) and Alice Anand (Year 11). 

The Intermediate Coxed Four achieved a Silver medal in the Year 10 Coxed Four.   

Well done to Mia Solomons (Year 10), Zoe Hart (Year 10), Arabella Murphy (Year 10), Caitlyn Bilney (Year 10) and Sara Khan (Year 10). 

The Junior 2nd Quad secured the Silver medal position, producing an exciting finish, only 0.22 seconds away from the Gold medal position.  

Well done to Emily Bartrop (Year 9), Annie Pennington (Year 9), Ellie Pointon (Year 9), Leander McLaughlin (Year 9) and Amber Eisenhauer (Year 9). 

The Learn-to-Row 1st Quad achieved a Silver medal.  

Well done to Emma Wang (Year 8), Madeliene Gaden (Year 8), Claudia Wyatt (Year 8), Blair Elliot (Year 8) and Madison Landgrebe (Year 8). 

The Junior 1st Quad and 4th Quads secured Bronze medal finishes in their respective races.   

Well done to Zara Kinniburgh (Year 9), Kelly Clifton (Year 9), Allegra Taubenschlag(Year 9), Harriet Murphy (Year 9), Mie Naito (Year 9), Claire Ferreria (Year 9), Emily Englund (Year 9), Scarlet Mitchell (Year 9), Olivia Norton (Year 9) and Cassandra Vielman (Year 9) 

The team now looks forward to Nationals in Week 8, where our Pymble Senior 1st and 2nd Eights and two Under 17 Development Eights will be competing. Well done to all Pymble rowers that participated at Head of the River – we are Pymble proud of you!
