igsa Netball Round 6

We kicked off round 6 of igsa Netball on Saturday 26 August with lots of great Netball on display.

Congratulations to Team of the Week Pymble 16. This team had a hard game on Saturday, however listened very well to feedback and came home strong to win the game on the bell with a penalty pass or shot on the bell. Well done Pymble 16.

Sienna Melton (Year 8), Annika Maslin (Year 8), Charlotte Henderson (Year 8), Matilda Schmidt (Year 9), Stella Paterson (Year 8), Amelia Gross (Year 8), Gabriella Nutman (Year 8), Chloe Ayton (Year 8), Charlotte Blaiklock (Year 8), Livia Armstrong (Year 9),

This team has been awarded the Brave Team award for the week!

As we head into the last round of Netball, I would like to remind all students to turn up to both training sessions and games on time please. Especially if your games are offsite at another venue, make sure you allow time for traffic and parking. This will ensure that all players have a proper warmup, and the coaches can have their teams ready to go for the start of the game.

2023 Australian Netball Championships

Our 2023 Captain of Netball Grace Whyte (Year 12) and former Netball Captain Audrey Little (Alumni 2021) were part of the QBE Swifts Academy that returned from the 2023 Australian Netball Championships with Silver Medals after a fantastic week of action in Queensland.

The Championships were contested by feeder teams of 2023 Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) clubs, and State Bodies which do not hold an SSN license. In 2021 the ANC replaced the Australian Netball League as the feeder competition to SSN.

Congratulations girls on a wonderful achievement.
