Welcome back to a very short term with lots of activities coming up. Rehearsals for ensembles have begun and we welcome all new students. Lessons with private tutors have also commenced, so please keep an eye on your timetables for times.

Other Amazing Achievements
- Isabel Fan (Year 8) – Received the Organ Music Society of Sydney Encouragement Award at the Sydney Organ Competition.
- Ivy Yan (Year 7) – Received third prize at the Gala and Closing ceremony of the 11th David Popper International Cello Competition in Budapest.
Ensemble Concerts for Junior and Secondary Schools:
Notices of these two events have been placed on the portal. Junior School parents, please remember to complete the Google Form indicating permission for supervision between the end of school and signing in at 5.30pm.
- Secondary School Concert – Tuesday 28 October at 6.30pm.
- Junior School Concert – Wednesday 29 October at 6.30pm.
These are compulsory for all musicians as it is the last performance for many for 2025. Tickets can be purchased using the links in the posters below.
Dates for your diaries – Term 4
Tuesday 28 October – Secondary School Ensemble Concert – all students in Choirs, String and Band groups are expected to attend in performance uniform. Tickets are available here for $5.00 per ticket. 6.30pm start in the GMCPA
Wednesday 29 October – Junior School Ensemble Concert – all students in Choirs, Strings and Band groups are expected to attend. Tickets are available here for $5.00 per ticket. 6.30pm start in the GMCPA. Please keep an eye out for the note on the portal to give permission.
Wednesday 5 November – Current Year 2 and 3 students are invited to have a go at the Bow and Blow Day:
- Band from 8.30am to 10.30am: Year 3 students can continue with strings AND join a band by having a go at the various band instruments
- Strings from 1.30pm to 2.30pm: Year 2 girls will have a listen to the string family and can sign up to join the Year 3 String orchestra in their PA session.
Friday 7 November – College Quartet and pianist to play at the Sports Awards Dinner at Miramare Gardens. 5.15pm to 6.00pm.
Tuesday 11 November – Jazz Ensemble to perform at the Visual Arts Event. 5.30pm to 6.00pm.
Tuesday 11 November – Jacaranda Assembly – String Orchestra and Capella Chamber Choir to perform
Sunday 30 November – College Carols. Join us for a sing along and some performances in the Chapel.
Tuesday 2 December – Junior School Speech Day (Junior School Choir, Capella Chamber Choir, Grainger Concert Band and Hindson Chamber Strings)
Wednesday 3 December – Secondary School Speech Day (Pymble Chorale, School Choir and Symphonic Wind Ensemble).
