Congratulations to Isabella Dong (Year 7) on her Grade 3 Musicianship, A+!

Thank You And Congratulations

On Thursday 30 March all our Senior School Ensembles came together and performed for parents and friends. It was a stunning evening with a light breeze, divine lighting designed by Tom, our resident sparky, and the VET girls, sound from Brilliant Bob, culminating in a perfect evening.

Each of our ensembles took to the stage to showcase a term’s work, varying from the old (Tchaikovsky) to the new (Fiddler on the Gloaming and Flourish and Fiesta 2022). I was immensely proud of our girls and their talents, but the real thanks go to our wonderful conductors for the evening. Mr Stafford, Mr Schweinberger, Mrs Colbey, Ms Ashton, Ms Zelzter, Mr Rossman, Mrs Bruce, Mr Walmsley and Ms Ford, you continue to amaze. To the talented and unflappable Estella Roche and Gladys Uy, accompanist extraordinaire and the most brilliant Music Administration person ever. Thanks Mr Griffiths and the Executive team for your guidance and support.

Thanks too to the Music Support Group for doing what they do: support. They ensured we were all fed and watered and made sure our girls were constantly supported.

Music Breakfast

On Monday 3 April we held our Music Breakfast, kindly organised by the Music Support Group. The girls came together to eat a healthy breakfast, enjoying some frivolity to end a ridiculously busy term.

Middle School Concert Band 26 April

You have a performance on this day for Anzac Day, and therefore a rehearsal/soundcheck will occur at lunch time on the Butterfly on April 26. Please remember to bring your instruments.

Music Support Group

The next meeting for the Music Support Group will be on 2 May at 7.00pm in the Music Gallery. Everyone is welcome to attend and offer their support. Please contact Elizabeth Toh if you would like more information: elizabethtoh@gmail.com

Music Hoodies

The uniform store sells the hoodies for $50.00 and you can purchase one, and ask for “Music” to be embroidered along the back. The embroidery costs $15.00. Girls will be able to wear these during winter when rehearsals take place during the colder, darker months. Please click here to purchase.
