Social Debating classes

Classes resumed this week and will run throughout Semester Two. Girls begin with theory, some internal debates, inter class debates and we hope to offer some debates with other schools in Term 4.

Mock Law

Despite a win in two out of three preliminary round Mock Trials, Pymble narrowly missed progressing to the final rounds. Thank you to our team and coach, Annika Shankar for a solid year.

A Mediation round was held at Pymble on the last day of Term 2. The girls scored highly and we look forward to hearing news of final rounds.

We look forward to hearing our invited guest speakers on the Friday evening and hosting the conference proper on Saturday 29 July. Farewell to Year 12 Language Arts High Tea

High Tea has become an annual event at Avondale, for Language Arts girls in Years 10, 11 and 12 and Year 12 parents. This year, as has become a tradition, it was held at the end of Term 2, on Wednesday 21 June from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. Thank you to our wonderful leavers for their immense contribution to Language Arts, both as participants and leaders. We hope to see you back as coaches to continue your mentoring work with our younger girls. Best wishes as you prepare for your final examinations.
