On Sunday 26 March, Sophie Tong (Year 5) competed in the girls 12 and under at Springwood Golf Club. Sophie won the scratch for girls 10 and under with the score of 80. This course is characterised with large fairways and tricky greens. Sophie managed to get two birdies and two bogeys for the front nine with an even par of 37. At hole number 2, par 5, Sophie miraculously chipped in for four from 25m away, while standing downhill, and she couldn’t even see the flag!
