From the Senior School
From the Head of Senior School – Mrs Nikki Wyse

It was fantastic to return to the KM today, after a short period of Long Service Leave. I would like to acknowledge Ms Patricia Gallardo and Mr Andy Heggie, who led the Senior School so well. Their care and dedication are sincerely appreciated.
Year 12
It is great to see the buzz in the atrium of girls working hard and collaborating as they consolidate their learnings from their recent HSC Trial examinations. This is a crucial time to review, refine and extend their understanding of key concepts and submit plenty of practice exam-type tasks for feedback. As always, maintaining routines and keeping to set goals builds strong progress.
Year 11 examinations
Year 11 students will finish their program of examinations this week. They are to be commended on their maturity and good sense over the past fortnight. The closing weeks of term will be spent in finalising course work and understanding the feedback from their examination results. It is important that the students maintain their focus and work ethic as they prepare for the beginning of Year 12 next term.
Showcase of talent
Over the past few weeks, we have been able to enjoy the skill, talent and sheer hand work of our Year 12 students, over a range of showcase events. Students of Design and Technology, Visual Arts, Dance, Drama, Textiles and Design, Music and English Extension 2 have showcased their work and we look forward to the upcoming exhibition of work from Aboriginal Studies. These students deserve our heartfelt congratulations for completing these major pieces of work and it is always such a joy to see their justifiable pride on display.
Garden Party
Students in Years 11 and 12 are asked to continue to support the Senior School projects for Garden Party. Year 11 students are donating items for a chocolate wheel and Year 12 students are selling raffle tickets. Students in both years are also requested to sign up for a duty shift on the day.
Many thanks to those students who have already made generous contributions. Funds raised at this year’s Garden Party will go to the Mahboba’s Promise and HerVillage Foundation.
