From the Senior School
From the Head of Senior School – Mrs Nikki Wyse
As we come to the end of a full and rewarding term, warmest wishes go to all Senior School families for a safe, peaceful and happy summer break. This holiday period offers a valuable chance to pause, slow down and enjoy time together, whether you are travelling, staying local or gathering with family and friends. May the weeks ahead be filled with rest, laughter and moments that become cherished memories.
A heartfelt thank you to our Year 12 students, who have made such a strong and positive start to their final year. Their focus, perseverance and willingness to step into new responsibilities have been impressive, and it has been a pleasure to see their confidence grow. Congratulations to those recognised at Speech Day for their achievements, and equal appreciation to every student who has shown resilience, improvement and personal growth throughout the term.
Exodus Foundation
Gratitude is also extended to our Senior School families for the generosity shown in donating items to support the Exodus Foundation this Christmas. Your contributions help make the festive season more special for families doing it tough and are a powerful example of compassion, community spirit and standing alongside those in need.
Year 12 Secret Santa and Christmas Party
Among the many highlights of the term, the Year-wide Secret Santa was a particularly joyful occasion, capturing the fun, kindness and friendship that characterise this wonderful group of young women. Events like this remind us how fortunate we are to be part of such a connected and caring community.
Sony Camp
Best wishes to all the Pymble and Shore students preparing to participate in this year’s Sony Camp, hosted here at Pymble. The students and staff have invested significant effort to create an enriching and joyful experience for the campers. This special camp not only provides wonderful adventures and support for the children involved but also offers much-appreciated respite for their families as they approach the busy Christmas season. Special thanks to the many families who have contributed to make this a special experience for the children and their families.
Boarders’ Christmas Service and Dinner
Many thanks to the Boarding Community for inviting us to their special Christmas Chapel service and dinner. It was a joy to be part of this beautiful occasion, witnessing the girls’ warmth and the strong community spirit they share. It was also great fun to enjoy their performances, especially from the Pymbellas, followed by a delicious Christmas dinner complete with crackers, festive hats and all the traditional celebrations.
Year 12 Social 2026
The girls have received a link to purchase tickets for themselves and a guest (if they wish) to our Year 12 Social, scheduled for 27 February early next year.
As we move into the holiday season, please encourage your daughters to take time for rest and wellbeing, as well as to keep up a small amount of study, as suggested by Mrs Stanfield and their teachers, to stay on track for the year ahead. Returning refreshed, they will be well placed to embrace the opportunities of their final year with pride and purpose. Wishing you and your family a very happy Christmas and a bright, fulfilling New Year.
