IWD Assembly

On Tuesday March 5 the Year 8 Middle School Leadership team hosted a Middle School assembly to celebrate International Women’s Day. The assembly celebrated the joint International Women’s Day theme of ‘Inspiring Inclusivity and Inspiring Creativity’. Assembly was truly an inclusive affair with Mahboba Rawi, founder of the charity Mahboba’s Promise attending the assembly and sharing her story of resilience and determination as well as acknowledging the important role women play in developing countries such as Afghanistan. The Middle School also celebrated with a creative Year 7 and Year 8 student lead K-Pop dance to the song ‘Girls of the year’, a showcase of the IWD art projects and even a Year 8 House Leader rap written by Harriet Gregory in Year 8. Middle School Students also decorated the Collonade with handwritten postcards that showcased their IWD pledges for each other, the college and the wider community.

Finally, we would like to acknowledge and thank our Year 8 Middle School leaders, Harriet Gregory, Ginny Makan, Ariana Azizmohammad and Estelle Lee for planning and hosting our Middle School Assembly. Our Year 7 and Year 8 K-Pop dance troop, Gloria Yang, Sophie Gui, Reese Zhang, Cecelia Zhou, Feifei Wang and Claire Fang for choregraphing and showcasing their dance ability and our Year 8 House Leaders Jamilla Soo, Sarah Joung, Selina Kerin, Sophie Heap, Amalia Bond, Aurora Zhang, Eleanor Ramsay and Claudia Wyatt for their house spirit and Pymble pride during the IWD Rap.

Cross Country

The Cross Country Carnival was held on Monday 4 March. The carnival was held on the main oval and the course was run around our beautiful campus. There was a fantastic display of house spirit and participation from our Year 7 and Year 8 girls. Many great results achieved by all.

Middle School Office Move

Middle school office is getting a new home! Starting next week, the office will be moving to under the Chapel formerly known as the Uniform shop. Main entrance will be located on the side closest to the Music building.

We are looking forward to the change in scenery and seeing the girls in our new space.

Year 8 Dance Incursion

On Wednesday Year 8 participated in an all-day dance incursion lead by our dance and PDHPE staff. It was an energetic and fun-filled day which ended with a House dance off. Dance is an engaging way for our students to explore their creativity, build confidence, and make new connections.
