From the Futures Team
Year 10 Future You Festival
With support from the Upper School, the Futures Department are proud to share with you the program of events for the 2025 Future You Festival. You can view the program here.
This large scale event is the culmination of the Futures program for Year 10, preparing them with skills and knowledge to start planning for their post school pathways.
Each student in Year 10 will finish the year with a Cliftons Strengths Top 5 Report. This helps them to identify and use their strengths for:
- Self-Awareness: Identify your natural talents and use this knowledge to build confidence, focus on your strengths, and achieve personal growth.
- Career Success: Align strengths with career or academic goals to improve performance and satisfaction. For example, strengths like Achiever can drive productivity, while Learner supports thriving in growth-focused environments.
- Effective Relationships: Use strengths to work effectively with others. For example, Harmony fosters collaboration, Empathy builds understanding, and Strategic helps in leadership and problem-solving. These strengths can enhance teamwork and communication in any setting.
Thank you to our keynote speakers, workshop facilitators, alumni, industry representatives, parents and staff who engaged in the program to allow us to deliver it to the year group.
A special thanks to the Future You Festival committee led by Katrina O’Kelly and Paula Cansick from the Futures Department and supported by the wonderful Upper School team, our marvellously talented Graphic Design Manager, Rachel Fairbairn and the amazing Facilities team for bringing this event to the students.
Look out our for article next week, where we will provide a wrap up of the program from a student perspective.

Overseas Study
Students in Years 7 to 12 were invited to attend a lunchtime information session on Overseas Pathways last Friday in Conde Library.
In this presentation we explored:
- how Pymble supports student applications;
- timelines for students in Year 7 to 12; and
- resources and useful links to explore over the school holidays.
There is growing interest in this area and we are mindful some students may have been unable to attend. Please click here to access a Google folder with our slides from the presentation and additional resources that will help families to discuss overseas universities as a potential pathway for their student.
If your daughter is interested in exploring an overseas university study pathway, please ask them to register their details here to be included in our mailing list for notifications of further workshops and updates. Please check before registering your daughter as they may have already done so.
We are currently updating our Futures@Pymble site and aim to relaunch in 2025 with further resources to support students and families.
If you have any further questions, please contact futures@pymblelc.nsw.edu.au
