2023 Events
All College community events can be viewed in the MyPymble app from the calendar tab. You can also view our calendar for Semester 1 by clicking here. This month we are looking forward to catching up with some of our community at our annual Alumni Networking Event at KPMG (more details below).
Alumni Events – Calling Potential Community Mentors
On Thursday 18 May we are hosting our annual Alumni Mentoring Event at KPMG in Barangaroo. This event helps to connect recent Alumni aged 18 to 35 years with mentors (from our Alumni and parent community), cultivating relationships that can support their careers post-Pymble. The event is proudly sponsored by the Ex-Students Union (ESU).
We are inviting Pymble parents, carers and ex-students over 35 years who have a passion for their industry to register as a mentor for the evening. There is no formal speech requirement for mentors; we will create relaxed, industry-based ‘breakout hubs’ where mentors and mentees can chat informally following the guest speaker presentations.
The evening will also provide an opportunity to forge professional network connections across a variety of industries and organisations. A light supper will be served.
If you would like to register as a Mentor, please click here.
If you would like to register as a Mentee (18 to 35 year olds) please click here.

Alumni News
We know many of our parents and carers are ex-Pymble students and we are happy to share with you the latest copy of our Alumni e-newsletter, the Jacaranda Post. For those non-Pymble ex-students, this newsletter is a wonderful summary of what our graduates are doing post-Pymble.
Parent Coffee Catch-Ups
The work of the Community Engagement team is immensely supported by the Pymble Parent Association (PPA). In particular, we’d like to extend our gratitude and thanks to the sub-school Parent Support Groups and volunteer parents for enthusiastically facilitating coffee catch-ups, morning teas and dinners across Term 1 and into Term 2.
These smaller events, which are either held in restaurants, cafes, local parks or private homes, are a great way to welcome new parents and build current friendships throughout the school year. Keep your eye out on social and chat groups for these events.
2023 Cultural Community Event – Dragon Boat Dinner Tickets On Sale Now
All College families are warmly invited to the 2023 Cultural Festival celebrating the diversity of our Pymble community. Each year the festival will spotlight the customs of a different cultural community; in 2023 we are celebrating the Double Fifth or Dragon Boat holiday, stemming from the history and heritage of our Chinese families. The event will feature craft activities, a cocktail dinner and musical performances.

Garden Party – Portobello Road Markets
We are delighted to invite the College community to express their interest in holding a stall at the Portobello Road Markets at this year’s Garden Party.
Please note that the Portobello Road Markets allocations are limited and, as such, registering your interest today does not confirm a position. Once a convenor of Portobello Road Markets has been appointed, they will be in touch in mid-July with further instructions.
To send an expression of interest, please click here.
In the coming weeks we will also be seeking the assistance of parents to run various PPA stalls which will be raising funds for two of our 2023 College charities; The Smith Family and Dignity. To find out more please contact us at events@pymblelc.nsw.edu.au
Enrolments Tour of Regional NSW
Across Term 2 our Enrolments team will be travelling around country NSW in order to showcase the College to potential regional Boarding families. This week we venture out to Dubbo for the Boarding Schools Expo, while later this month we will be hosting a stall at the Sydney Boarding Schools Rural Expo, the Griffith Pop-Up and Wagga Wagga and Young Boarding Schools Expos.
This country road trip is an excellent opportunity to highlight the many attributes of our College and the opportunities afforded by an education at Pymble. We absolutely love visiting our country families!
