Performing Arts Articles
The co-curricular and curriculum areas of Music, Drama, Language Arts, Dance and Speech and Drama are vibrant rhythms in the resonating heart of the Performing Arts at Pymble.
I have been lucky in the last few weeks to explore the past heritage of Performing Arts at Pymble and to consider what has changed and what has not changed over the years.
Much has changed in the Performing Arts world at Pymble. Spaces, technologies, opportunities abound in ways that could not have dreamed of in earlier years.
What has not changed is the passion and commitment of the practitioners and the students.
Music teachers and students have presented performances for multiple parental events over the last few days and these performances inherent in the resounding successes of these events. In the same few days, Music teachers have led a joyously creative Junior School Music Camp which engaged and delighted the participating students.
Language Arts students have begun several competitions with much scholarly rigour and travel across Sydney to compete at other school locations.
Classes in Dance, Speech and Drama and Co-curricular Drama continue to gallop apace providing experiences that encourage students in their performance skills.
Speech and Drama has vaulted the broad terrain of the Pymble landscape to find a new and nurturing home in which Speech and Drama students are taught with assured expertise and excellence.
Some exciting events coming up in the next week!
