igsa Football Round 7
Once again, Mother Nature was not on our side, as all but two of our games were cancelled due to the wet weather. We were fortunate that the Senior First and Junior First Grand-finals were scheduled on synthetic fields.
In the battle for the Division S01 trophy, Pymble 1 faced MLC in the pouring rain. Despite these conditions our players showed tremendous composure in possession. With the game tied at 0 to 0 at half time, our team came out firing. Two long range efforts from Amber Halliday (Year 12) sealed the victory for our Senior Firsts, regaining the trophy they last won in 2022.

In the Junior First Grand-final, Pymble 9 battled against Brigidine College to hold on to the trophy for another year. In a pulsating game, neither team could be split and after extra time it remained 1 to 1, with both Pymble and Brigidine being declared joint premiers.

A huge thank you to all our departing Year 12 students for their commitment and service over the years, they leave a fantastic legacy!

CIS Football Cup
On Wednesday 19 June, our CIS Football team faced PLC Sydney in the Semi-final, a repeat of 2023’s Semi-final matchup. This game finished in similar fashion to 2023, a triumphant 7 to 0 win for Pymble. This result puts our CIS team into the Grand Final where they will face William Clarke College. The Grand-final will be held on Wednesday 24 July at Valentine Sports Park for a 4.00pm kick off and we hope you can join us to cheer our amazing Pymble team.
