Upcoming Events

Pymble community events can be found in the MyPymble app under the Calendar tab. Parents are encouraged to check the app regularly to keep up to date with all College events. There are plenty of opportunities to meet other parents and connect with staff through our community events which you can find on the app and in the calendar below. Tomorrow we will welcome more than 500 fathers and carers on site for the Father’s Day Charity Sausage Sizzle.

Foundation Ball

We are delighted to host the inaugural Pymble Foundation Ball on Saturday 14 October at the Art Gallery of NSW. The evening will begin with pre dinner drinks and canapes in the 20th century galleries, followed by fine dining and live entertainment.

Guests will also enjoy a live auction with the opportunity to bid for an exclusive dinner cooked by Dr Hadwen and Mr Bell in their home as well as a range of other prizes, such as a three-night stay at the exclusive The Havannah Vanuatu and a beautiful artwork commissioned by Adam Chang and Susie Dureau.

We look forward to celebrating all things Pymble with you on the night.

Garden Party

It is just over two weeks to go until Garden Party and planning is in full flight. There are new rides to enjoy this year including the riptide and old favourites like the dragon wagon rollercoaster, turbo flyers and the giant slide. To purchase your Unlimited Rides Pass, please click here.

As the planning continues in the lead up to the big day, the Pymble Parent Association is holding a donation drive for toys, second-hand uniforms and textbooks. Donations can be dropped off from 7.30am to 8.30am and 2.30pm to 3.30pm daily in the Centenary Car Park drop off lane. Please note items that you donate must be washed and in good condition and, where appropriate, on sturdy hangers. If you would like to assist with the Second-Hand Uniform and Resources stall on the day, please sign up here.

Father’s Day

We are delighted to be welcoming more than 500 dads on site tomorrow for the Father’s Day Charity Sausage Sizzle on Main Oval. The event begins at 12.00pm with Junior School girls arriving first and Secondary School students entering the oval from 12.40pm.

Given this is a whole school event with around 3,000 people venturing onto Main Oval for lunch we would like to remind parents and carers of the following;

  • College gates will be closed for the event from 11.00pm to 2.00pm. No vehicles will be allowed onsite.
  • There is parking in the surrounding streets (particularly Avon Road and Pymble Road) but spaces are always at a premium and public transport is advised.
  • Grey House walk will be open for those parking on Pymble Avenue.
  • All girls have been ordered a sausage. If they are on campus on the day and not marked absent they will be charged for their meal. Please remind your daughter to come to Main Oval to enjoy lunch. All retail outlets will be closed over lunchtime.
  • We encourage all students and parents to use the toilets in the Gillian Moore Centre for Performing Arts and not James Kelso Pavilion for this event.

We look forward to seeing so many dads on campus tomorrow to celebrate! Thank you for supporting our chosen charity, the Prostate Foundation of Australia.

Vision Valley

Our Vision Valley campus has been busier than ever supporting our Year 9 Residential program, as well as our Outdoor Education program and several parent daughter events, and we hope to provide an opportunity for all families to experience this beautiful location during their time with us.

Last weekend dads and daughters from Year 6 camped onsite, enjoying a campfire and plenty of outdoor activities. We encourage parents to take the opportunity to connect with their daughter at our second campus as they become available; each camp offers something slightly different but are equally as enjoyable.

The current events on the Vision Valley calendar are;

  • Year 10 Mothers and Daughters Day, Sunday 8 October from 9.30pm to 4.30pm
  • Year 5 Dads and Daughters Camp, Saturday 14 to Sunday 15 October
  • Year 4 Parent Daughter Camp, Saturday 21 to Sunday 22 October

Enrolments

This week our Enrolments team hosted an Open Morning in the Junior School, welcoming 72 families onsite to see first-hand the magnificent College grounds and exemplary academic program Pymble offers its students. The morning was a great success, and we hope to see many faces return in years to come.

Term 3 does not slow down for the Enrolments team as they host the annual Pymble in Orange event next Friday 8 September where we look forward to catching up with current and prospective Boarding families.
