Cybersecurity Work Experience at TCS

Eight students from Year 10 and 11 have participated in a three-day work experience program hosted by TATA Consultancy Services this week.

Isabelle (Year 10) has shared her experience below:

This week, students from Year 10-11 attended the cybersecurity work experience course at TATA Consultancy. We learnt about the different types of cyber attacks and cryptography, as well as the process of a network intrusion. To apply our newfound knowledge, we participated in a hackathon where we completed various tasks to investigate the hidden functions of a webpage. It was a very engaging and informative course, and I would highly recommend it for students who wish to explore cybersecurity in the future.

Important Updates and Information for Senior School Students

The Futures Department communicate regularly with students about important information such as deadlines and application procedures for early entry, scholarships and admissions testing for universities.

It is important that students are organised and keep an eye out for the methods of communication from the Futures Department. Please make sure to check emails from the futures@pymblelc.nsw.edu.au address and that they are not ending up in the Junk Mail folder.

The following are channels where we regularly keep our students informed:

  • Futures in Focus newsletter delivered via email
  • Weekly Year 12 Updates sent through the Year Advisors Update (View past ones here)
  • School Compass Newsletter

For essential updates such as deadlines, we will email specific year groups to ensure communication is made.
