From the Senior School
Welcome back to all Senior School families. I hope that you found some time to have some fun and relaxation over the beautiful weather that we enjoyed over the Term break.
I would like to take this opportunity to respectfully remind parents regarding the process for applying for leave during the school day. If your daughter needs to leave the campus for an appointment or other commitment, could you please email the Senior School Office at seniorschool@pymblelc.nsw.edu.au before 8:00am on the day. Please understand that due to our Duty of Care, we cannot allow students to leave the campus without this notice.
Many of the Year 12 girls have reported some productive time over the break, reviewing their notes, practising past papers and preparing for their HSC Trial examinations in a fortnight. It is never too late to modify routines and schedules for improvement, so please encourage your daughter to continue working towards her academic goals. Equally, it is important to maintain time for exercise, socialising and feeding our spirits. Please assist your daughter in keeping a healthy sense of perspective at this time, as this is vital for her wellbeing and also achieving her best.
Year 11 have also had a busy start to the term. My thanks to all students who have submitted an application for a Prefect leadership role in the College. I appreciate that this takes courage and commitment and can sometimes lead to disappointment for those who are unsuccessful for this particular role. In Term 4, there are further leadership roles offered to students for their consideration. All Year 11 students should remember that as they prepare to enter Year 12, they are role models and leaders for the younger students, and their support of their younger peers is very much appreciated.
Year 11 students involved in Sony Camp have been busily completing some training modules and all students are working towards their Yearly Examinations, which take place in Weeks 7 and 8. I have spoken to the students about some techniques and strategies in preparation.
