From the Senior School
This term, we have welcomed the successful Robotics team back from the USA and heard some great stories from their competition and travels. We are also looking forward to the Village Championship this weekend and thank all the students involved in helping to run this event.
Service Opportunities
Year 11 students have been invited to participate in the Red Shield Appeal, in support of the Salvation Army. All students are being asked if they can support the Balmoral Burn, with funds being raised for the Humpty Dumpty Foundation. All details for how to engage in these activities are available on the student portal.

From the Deputy Head of Senior School – Ms Patricia Gallardo
As the application process for university begins, I would like to highlight the Educational Access Scheme (EAS). The aim of the EAS scheme is to help those students, whose education has been negatively affected during Year 11 and Year 12, receive a university offer. To apply for EAS students must be able to demonstrate that, as a result of circumstances beyond their control or choosing, their studies have been negatively affected for at least six months during Year 11 and/or Year 12.
The University Admission Centre processes applications for admission into university which calculates the students’ ATAR and processes applications for EAS for entry into university.
Students received information on this subject at their Year assembly this week as it is the student’s responsibility to log in to their application and start this process. For further information please click here.
A Message from the Year 11 Parent Co-ordinators
We hope you have had a smooth start to Term 2. Thank you to those Year 11 parents who responded to our Facebook survey regarding the types of social events you are interested in.
In response to this feedback, we are very excited with the events we have planned for the coming terms. We will be organising a Mothers’ Weekend Away (with options for individual rooms), a cocktail and canape event for all Year 11 parents and carers, a dinner for Year 11 Mothers and coffee catch ups. Please look out for communications throughout the year.
