Thank You

As another academic year draws to a close, I would like to sincerely thank all our Language Arts students, coaches and parents for a truly wonderful year, full of growth and development. If celebrating, have a peaceful Christmas season, and a safe and happy holiday and I look forward to seeing you all again in 2026.

Thank you to those who sent in expressions of interest and to those who finalised deposits in recent days for the THIMUN tour. THIMUN is a Model United Nations (MUN) conference held in The Hague. This enriching, international Language Arts excursion is planned for January 2027 and will be open to girls in Years 9 to 12 in 2027. Please contact travel@pymblelc.nsw.edu.au or Mrs Hubbard, BHubbard@pymblelc.nsw.edu.au for further information.

State Conference, UN Youth – Early Bird Discount

The 2026 State Conference will bring together nearly 200 young minds in Years 9 to 12 from across NSW to engage in Model UN debates, workshops and interactive activities on topics rarely covered in the school curriculum.

  1. Critical Skills: Students develop public speaking, negotiation, and critical thinking skills through Model UN and problem-solving simulations.
  1. Real-World Context: The 2026 these, “The Age of Energy”, explores the transition from fossil fuels to renewables.
  1. Note: This is incredible relevant as Australia will be the principal negotiator for COP31.
  1. Community: It connects like-minded students in Years 9 to 12 from across NSW in a safe, social environment.

Review:

“UN Youth has provided Hunters Hill students with a unique opportunity to broaden their worldview, build confidence, and engage meaningfully with the issues shaping our future… It has empowered our students to think critically, collaborate thoughtfully, and recognise their own capacity to lead.” – Year 12 Advisor, Hunter’s Hill High School

Please note, Pymble does not include or supervise this as part of our program, but each year girls from Pymble attend and speak highly of the conference. If you are interested in attending as an individual, please click here
